We often end our term with a bit of a sing in Chapter Café during our break – and more often than not these days we like to surprise the clientele with a flash mob – where 1 or 2 of us begin singing gradually joined by more and more from around the café (We also did this as our commemoration for Armistice day in November with quite a moving version of the “Grey Funnel Line”).
Anyway this Festive occasion warranted fun and joy so we began with “Ding Dong Merrily” as a very small group – gradually adding voices until even the café users were joining in on the Gloria bit! Great fun – then we had arranged to sing “Only You” so we begun this and realized that we were blocking the café sales area so we simply moved to the edge of the café – by the pillars and walked smoothly into our choir formation whilst singing. It went a treat! Great singing, initiative and fun from the choir – the audience loved it too!
